It's still very hot here, but when my husband and I are out and about, we always try to go for a walk because we're both still a little overweight. However, today, for work, we were in the Bottegone area. I'll tell you about it! Bottegone is a suburb of Pistoia that borders the rural area surrounding the city. It's a simple and pleasant place to stroll. It lies near one of the city's main streams, the Ombrone River, and is known, like the entire area, for its agriculture, its various crops, and the elegant, luxurious homes of the nurserymen who have purchased property nearby.

In the 1950s, it underwent a major industrialization project and was home to many businesses that took over the fields and agricultural activities. Today, it is a highly sought-after and well-maintained residential area, yet it remains surrounded by fields, which can also be seen while strolling through the town streets. It's a quiet spot, perfect for a quick stroll.

De hecho, durante nuestro paseo, nos impresionaron mucho las diversas villas, todas realmente encantadoras y bien conservadas. A pesar de su aspecto moderno, Bottegone tiene orígenes medievales, aunque queda muy poco de su pasado. Fue un centro comercial y albergaba numerosas aldeas pequeñas, casi todas ellas ahora muy rurales y semiabandonadas.
