I'm a little scared and also very excited about this new experience. However, this weekend, which was my birthday, I also relaxed a bit. One afternoon, my husband and I went for a very pleasant walk in a village not far from ours, Sanmomme. The village is small, nestled in the hills, and to get there, there's a rather unpleasant road with many curves and, unfortunately, frequent landslides. Sanmomme is a medieval village, almost empty in the winter, but a popular summer resort because it's very cool and not far from the city. Historically, this village is famous because Catherine de Medici regularly stayed here for deer and wild boar hunting. Indeed, the area is rich in this type of wildlife; you can often encounter deer, fallow deer, and wild boar, also because this village is completely surrounded by woods. In fact, once you pass the small village, there are only expanses of woods.

The village is quite small but composed of many charming little streets and alleys, and the houses are also very charming and well-kept. The village is built next to a parish church and divided into small hamlets. Inside, there's only one bar and one hotel open, but in the summer there are various activities, parties every weekend, another hotel open, a kiosk, and if you enjoy walking in both summer and winter, there are numerous trails suitable for all levels of hikers, some of which lead to Porretta. It's a truly charming village where you can spend a cool summer evening or stroll peacefully through the woods and streets. A place suitable for all ages, with even a small playground for children. We occasionally go there to visit some friends who live there; we really like it for a few hours because it's a very quiet and relaxing place.

El pueblo es bastante pequeño, pero está compuesto por muchas callejuelas y callejones con encanto, y las casas también son encantadoras y están muy bien cuidadas. El pueblo está construido junto a una iglesia parroquial y dividido en pequeñas aldeas. De vez en cuando vamos a visitar a unos amigos que viven allí; nos gusta mucho pasar unas horas allí porque es un lugar muy tranquilo y relajante.
