Wednesday walk through the old streets of Pistoia, discovering hidden corners. (ENG/ESP)💞💞

Hello, blog friends, I'm back again participating in @tattoodjay's Wednesday walk. Today I'm taking you with me once again through the streets of Pistoia, passing through old alleys and charming corners. My walk began on the beautiful avenue in front of the seminary. The large building you see with the view of the city behind it is the seminary, a place where several priests still reside, as well as a nursing home for the elderly. From there, I continued along the old walls, which, as you can see in this part of the city, are fortunately still intact, and it's always beautiful to see them. From there, I wandered along the city's main avenues, which are beautiful, with a mix of new and old buildings, all in light colors. Some buildings are truly beautiful, some very elegant, others more classical but always beautiful. I then continued to a small square dedicated to Garibaldi. A delightful little square with a building that was once used as a notary's office, which in fact has an interesting sculpture over the doorway.

Hola, amigos del blog, vuelvo a participar en el paseo de los miércoles de @tattoodjay. Hoy os llevo de nuevo por las calles de Pistoia, recorriendo antiguos callejones y rincones con encanto. Mi paseo comenzó en la preciosa avenida frente al seminario. El gran edificio que ven, con la vista de la ciudad al fondo, es el seminario, donde aún residen varios sacerdotes, además de una residencia para ancianos. Desde allí, continué por las antiguas murallas, que, como podéis ver en esta parte de la ciudad, afortunadamente siguen intactas, y siempre es un placer verlas. Desde allí, caminé por las principales avenidas de la ciudad, que son preciosas, con una mezcla de edificios nuevos y antiguos, todos de colores claros. Algunos edificios son realmente hermosos, otros muy elegantes, otros más clásicos, pero siempre hermosos. Luego continué hasta una pequeña plaza dedicada a Garibaldi. Una plaza encantadora con un edificio que antiguamente se usaba como notaría, que de hecho tiene una interesante escultura sobre la entrada.

The square also has a large statue dedicated to Garibaldi, but my favorite part of the city is the small side streets, which I prefer to walk along rather than the main roads. The streets are very characteristic, with warm-colored houses and stone paving. I wandered through various alleys, enjoying the view and also observing the small artisan shops that still survive in the city. I then concluded my walk in front of the church of San Salvatore. It is said that this church was the first to be built in Pistoia.

It is a simple church that has now been renovated (years ago it had collapsed due to structural problems) and used as a museum, which unfortunately was closed at the time of my walk. I hope you enjoyed walking with me through the streets of beautiful Pistoia.

La plaza también tiene una gran estatua dedicada a Garibaldi, pero mi parte favorita de la ciudad son las callejuelas, por las que prefiero caminar antes que por las calles principales. Las calles son muy características, con casas de colores cálidos y pavimento empedrado. Paseé por varios callejones, disfrutando de la vista y observando las pequeñas tiendas de artesanía que aún sobreviven en la ciudad. Terminé mi paseo frente a la iglesia de San Salvatore. Se dice que esta iglesia fue la primera que se construyó en Pistoia. Es una iglesia sencilla que ahora ha sido restaurada (hace años se derrumbó debido a problemas estructurales) y se utiliza como museo, que lamentablemente estaba cerrado cuando di mi paseo.
