Hope you all are doing great!
In today鈥檚 blog, we will be visiting a small non-existent kind of village in the Remote in the Himalayas about five hours away from nearest town. The village is called Chattru and is at about 3200 m of altitude above sea level. This place is about a couple hours from Gramphu and about 30 km from Koksar which might sound quite less, but trust me these 30 km are completely off road as you can see in the photographs as well.

So after a continuous drive of about a couple hours, we decided to park our car near to the road and explore the beautiful valley in which we were standing at. There were very less vegetation and signs of life around us as this was a dry cold desert. The only thing that was alive was the sound of water that was coming from the nearby Chandra river.

The nearby mountains were so high that even the sun was already set here just at about 3 PM. The average height of the range which you can see in the photograph below is above 5000 m of elevation, and that is a lot of elevation.

The tallest mountains of this range are also quite near from here. Those mountains are above 6000 m of elevation, so you can imagine how high we were. This might look beautiful and let me tell you. It indeed was more beautiful than you can see here, but let me tell you. This place was as harsh as beautiful as it is.

We only spotted a few cars passing and no signs of any human up until now, but as we were approaching Chatru, we were about to hear several other cars and we were also able to spot a bridge and a few people along with their camps in Chatru.

This is a really important campsite for people who are crossing the Hampta pass, which is world famous track known for his beauty. This connects Kullu Valley to the Spiti Valley in which we were standing at right now, so the campsite of this track I mean the final campsite after tracking for four days is Chatru.

You have to drive through this dangerous road and have to cross a lot of water crossings, which are very very dangerous to reach this beautiful place. This is a once in a lifetime visit, and whenever you come to India or northern India or you already are in India, you should definitely visit this place.

So now we reached the Chatru village. You can see that in the signboard that is half broken in the photograph below. You can also read about the stats of elevation and other things like population in this board.

Being at such a remote place, awaken a kind of self realisation inside you, that how comfortable we live in our day-to-day life without knowing how beautiful the places in our earth are. You should always leave your comfort zone to explore because then only you will understand about life.
That is it for today.
Peace 鈽笍
