First Impressions : Genesis League On Hive

Yesterday I spoke about the moon karts game and how the splinterlands team is behind it. Today I’ll be talking about the genesis league which is also a a game associated with the same company. So it means we will essentially be talking about 3 games in my subsequent posts.

The Genesis league is a tactic game just like the splinterlands game. This game utilises NFTs, crypto and the hive block chain. What this means is that transactions will be free as transactions on the hive blockchain is free as well. With these NFTs which a player accumulates, he can go head to head with other players. This game is similar to the splinterlands game where every card a player owns is an NFT.

With the NFTs in the Genesis league game players face each other in matches for the winning score. You can also level up the cards or NFTs for better match results. Even though enhancing your player helps, you also need to have the skill to defeat your opponent. As we have seen time without number on spl a player with a lower card rating can beat someone with a higher card rating if they know what they are about.

In this game the players will be able to create teams with MLSPA players. This is what u referred to as the NFTs at first. Tactics are very important in this type of game as it’s a static game where the next decision will determine how the match goes. If you have played score hero before you’ll know exactly what I am talking about. When you win a match you can earn rewards including their governance token which is tradable on hive known as the GLX token.

So what happens essentially is that two players go head to head with each other after they have build their teams based on the MLSPA roster that we have. Each player has a turn to make a simple tap action to advance the ball. Both players take their turn in doing this as the game goes forward.

With the card players can upgrade the cards to have higher stats like I said in the beginning.

What do I think about a game like this? For me, I’ve played score hero ever since I was a kid and I still enjoy it up until now. Score hero is one of the popular soccer games that we even up till date. Having a game that seems to copy the style of score hero where I can earn as I play is a game changer for me.

I won’t lie this is a game that I know I’ll definitely enjoy with all this stuff that are on it. Choosing and managing your team like we do on fantasy football even makes it more exciting. Also being able to see how the match goes in real time even as you make simple actions and gesture is incredibly satisfying.
