From the World of John Wick: Ballerina

Taking place during the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, the movie follows Iva Macaro as she begins her training in the traditions of the Ruska Roma assassins. A spinoff film starring Ana De Armas… Is it worth it? For me, absolutely!!

🟢🟢🟢🟢

  • Ana De Armas, who leads the film, is excellent in her role and delivers both in the action scenes and the dramatic ones.

  • Most of the fight sequences are at a very high level.

  • Fights, fights, and more fights — it's a very entertaining movie.

  • Fast-paced.

  • The second half is clearly better than the first.

  • The snowy village setting and overall production design are great.

  • The use of the flamethrower gives a whole new meaning in this film.

  • A very good spinoff — not on John Wick's level, but still quite respectable.

  • Some of the kills are epic.

  • There’s a plot twist I didn’t see coming.

Nice soundtrack, even if it doesn’t particularly stand out.

  • The chemistry between John Wick and Ballerina works well.

🔴🔴🔴🔴

The script, while not bad, isn’t anything groundbreaking.

  • The trigger for the plot feels overused and not as strong as in the first John Wick.

  • Although Keanu Reeves makes brief appearances throughout, if you’re expecting to see a lot of him, you’ll be disappointed — this is Ballerina’s movie, no doubt.

  • There are small moments of exaggeration, but that’s expected — overall, it tries to stay grounded.

  • The villain feels a bit “stiffs”.

Pulp Fiction

The parallel and occasionally intersecting stories of two hitmen, a boxer on the run from the mafia, a drug-addicted wife of a Black gangster, a young couple robbing diners, and several other eccentric characters.

Released in 1994 and directed by Quentin Tarantino, the film left a lasting mark not only on that year but on the entire landscape of modern cinema. It won the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival.

Tarantino (and his films) — whether you like him or not — always brings an over-the-top flair to things, but at the same time, he leaves a distinct imprint on the art of filmmaking.

With an all-star cast, Pulp Fiction is an entertaining film filled with memorable scenes, wrapped at times in a layer of cynicism. It tells gritty, fringe stories at a relentless pace, with violent and explosive action, strong performances, and a brilliant soundtrack.

An unpredictable script, witty dialogue, and Tarantino’s unique style turned Pulp Fiction into a pop culture phenomenon. If you haven’t seen it yet — it’s a must!
