Hello, my lovely friends.

Yesterday, I made an important appointment with my husband. We planned to start cutting palm oil trees early this morning as planned. The two of us set out for the orchard in our favorite vehicle, a tricycle, amidst the crisp morning air.

🛠️ Preparation Before Entering the Orchard
Upon arriving at the orchard, the first thing we did was prepare all our equipment. Everything needed to be ready, including sharp palm cutting tools, fertilizer bags or sacks to use as containers for the produce, and a three-wheeled cart waiting to handle the heavy load. As we all know, some palm plantations are inaccessible to three-wheeled carts, so we had to use sacks to hold the cut palm fruit and then carry or lift it to the accessible location. This task required considerable physical strength and patience.
Once everything was ready, it was time to
enter the orchard. My husband and I worked closely and supported each other. My husband was the skilled palm cutter, while I was the harvester and transporter. This harvesting required extra caution, as the paths between the palm trees were full of sharp thorns. I used thick cloth gloves to protect my hands, ensuring a smooth and safe operation.

🔍 Delicate Selection of Fruit🌴

The key to harvesting oil palms is determining the ripeness of the fruit. Each palm tree has different ripeness. Some trees produce fruit that isn't fully ripe, while others produce 2-3 ripe fruit bunches simultaneously. Fully ripe fruit will be bright orange, ready for harvest. However, this orange color can sometimes be unsure. Therefore, we must use our own technique: use a knife to slightly scrape the fruit to check if the flesh is ready for harvesting.

⚠️ The most important tip is that if we cut palms that aren't fully ripe and sell them at the buying yard, they will be immediately discarded, as they are considered substandard. Therefore, we must be meticulous in every step to maintain the quality and price of our produce.

🍌 Capturing the atmosphere and small moments of happiness in the garden ❤️🏡🌳
While my husband was busy cutting palm trees, I took the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful garden atmosphere. I couldn't resist pulling out my phone to capture memories, including photos of my husband's work, the freshness of the trees and grass, and even photos of myself.
Although the yield was relatively low today, as many trees hadn't produced fruit yet or weren't fully ripe, we noticed the Kluai Khai and Kluai Nam Wa bananas in the garden that were ripe and ready. So, I took the opportunity to cut several bunches of bananas to take home, along with some banana blossoms. It's a wonderful gift from nature that makes us smile.

💰 Mission accomplished, heading to the palm oil yard

Finally, the palm oil harvesting mission was complete. It was time to load all the produce onto the tricycle and head straight to the palm oil purchasing yard.

When we arrived at the palm oil yard, the first thing we did was drive the car to the scales. Today, the price of palm oil was 7.40 satang per kilogram, and the net weight we weighed was 115 kilograms. Then, we drove the car to the workers who quickly unloaded the palm oil from the tricycle.
Then, we returned to the same place to collect the money. The purchasing yard offered a wonderful service: a free bottle of drinking water and a receipt, which always thrilled me every time I opened it. And today, it didn't disappoint. I received a very satisfying net amount of 856 baht 75 satang. This was an excellent result for today's harvest.

Before heading back, I stopped by a nearby beverage stall and couldn't resist buying a bag of uncooked meatballs and peanuts for 50 baht to take home. It was a little boost of energy and happiness after a hard day's work.

The two of us then rode our tricycle home, completing a difficult but proud mission for the day.

For today, I must take my leave.
My friends, see you next time! Thank you for your continued support and patronage. Thank you so much! 🌴❤️🥰🙏🏻
