It’s that time of year again ,the build-up to our annual #secretsilversanta! With excitement already building and names soon to be drawn, it’s the perfect time to continue our little “get to know your #secretsilversanta series. So far, we’ve talked about the eternal debate between bars and rounds, and yesterday we cleared up the difference between coins and rounds. But tonight, we’re diving a little deeper in to what really makes each stacker unique — their favourite series.

Now, this is where things start to get personal. Every collector has that one theme, design, or series that truly captures their attention (and their wallet!). Some stacker are drawn to majestic beasts and mythical creatures, others prefer coins that celebrate ships, history, or important national moments. Then there are those who chase limited releases or annual updates from their favourite mints, determmined to complete the set no matter how long it takes.

Take The Royal Mint’s Britannia series, for example. It’s a firm favourite among UK stackers — classic, elegant, and steeped in national symbolism. Across the pond, you’ll find American stackers proudly loyal to their Silver Eagles, while Canadians can’t get enough of those shining Maple Leafs. Each one tells a story of national pride and artistry — and for some of us, it’s impossible to pick just one!

Then there are themed collections that bring a bit of fun to stacking. Maybe you’re into the Royal Mint’s Tudor Beasts, the Perth Mint’s Lunar Series, or the beautifully detailed Queen’s Beasts collection that’s already earned legendary status among collectors. Some prefer animal designs, others gravitate toward ships, ancient symbols, or even modern commemorative coins celebrating space exploration, royalty, or world events.

Whatever your collecting style, there’s no wrong answer, that’s what makes this community so special. Every stack tells a story, and every collection reflects the personality behind it. So tonight’s question is simple: what kind of series do you love most? Are you loyal to Britannias or obsessed with the next release in a themed set? Do you collect animals, ships, or perhaps something a little more unusual?
