This is my first post here in the

, which combines two of my great passions: color and black-and-white photography. It is unique in that it is a study carried out by the person who captured the images, seeking to highlight the best that each technique has to offer.

I must confess here, for those who are not so familiar with the content of my most frequent posts, that black and white photography is a great passion of mine.

Unfortunately, I still only take photos in a very rudimentary way, with my cell phone, but it brings me great joy and pleasure, as I even manage to get some results from the exposures I take.

One of my favorite subjects is street photography, ideally of people. In this first work that I present here, although some people appear, they only bring scale to the photograph and are not the centerpiece of the composition.

I confess that I don't feel very comfortable pointing a cell phone at people. In this field, a camera with a telephoto lens fulfills a little more of the potential I could have. Who knows, maybe this Christmas, Santa Claus will leave me a second-hand camera in my stocking!

This weekend, I went to Oriente Intermodal Station. Serving as a hub connecting various modes of transportation, this station rarely sleeps. Its architecture, vanishing points, shadows, and geometries have always fascinated me since its inauguration, and it is a recurring theme in my photographs whenever I pass by.

This time was no exception. Even though I only had a little over half an hour to get to my meeting place, I still had the opportunity to take some photos before I arrived on the train and then again on my way home. This resulted in a study spanning approximately an hour and a half.

The light changed dramatically, as did the glare, nuances, and contours of the people who constantly pass through there.

Of the photos I'm showing you here, is there one you particularly like? And which version do you prefer? Color or black and white?

I confess that my favorite is the third one. The canopy over the entrance is reminiscent of the entrance to a magnificent building. And with people's reflections in the glass that makes it up. Can you see that detail? It really looks like a mirror image of our world. A parallel reality? Don't you think?

Esta é a minha primeira publicação aqui na

que alia dois grandes gostos que eu tenho. A fotografia a cores e a preto e branco. Tem como particularidade ser um estudo que é feito pelo próprio que captou as imagens e que procura realçar o que de melhor uma ou a outra técnica traz.

Desde já confesso aqui, para os que não conhecem tão bem o conteúdo das minhas publicações mais frequentes, que a fotografia a preto e branco é uma grande paixão que eu tenho.

Infelizmente ainda só faço fotografia de um modo muito rudimentar, com o meu telemóvel, mas que m e traz um grande gosto e prazer, pois até consigo tirar algum resultado das exposições que faço.

Um dos temas preferidos que tenho é a fotografia de rua, e idealmente de pessoas. Neste primeiro trabalho que aqui vos apresento, apesar de aparecerem algumas pessoas, estas apenas trazem a escala à fotografia, e não são a peça central da composição.

Confesso que não me deixa muito confortável apontar um telemóvel às pessoas. Nesse campo, uma máquina fotográfica com uma lente teleobjectiva, cumpre um pouco mais com a possibilidade que eu poderia ter. Quem sabe se este Natal, o Pai Natal, não me deixa no sapatinho uma máquina em segunda mão!

Desloquei-me neste fim de semana à Estação Intermodal do Oriente. Fazendo ponte de ligação entre vários meios de transporte, esta estação raramente dorme. A sua arquitectura, os pontos de fuga, as sombras, e geometrias sempre me fascinaram desde a sua inauguração, sendo um tema recorrente das minhas fotografias sempre que por lá passo.

Desta vez, não foi excepção. E mesmo tendo apenas pouco mais de meia hora para chegar ao local onde tinha combinado, ainda tive oportunidade em fazer algumas fotografias antes, assim que cheguei no comboio, e depois, quando regressava a casa. O que resultou num estudo com um intervalo temporal de hora e meia, aproximadamente.

A luz mudou drasticamente, bem como os brilhos, e as nuances e contornos das pessoas que constantemente por lá passam.

Das fotos que eu vos apresento aqui, existe alguma que vocês gostem em particular? E que versão preferem? A cores, ou a preto e branco?

Confesso que a minha preferida é mesmo a terceira. A pala da entrada faz lembrar uma entrada de um edifício magnífico. E com o reflexo das pessoas, na parte de vidro que a compõe. Conseguem reparar nesse pormenor? Parece mesmo um mundo espelhado à nosso. Uma realidade paralela? Não o acham?
