[Seoul = Newsis] Han Yi-jae, Lee Da-som, Kim Yoon-young, a trainee reporter = North Chungcheong Province Governor Kim Young-hwan, who was accused of perjury during the parliamentary investigation into the Osong Underpass disaster, completed an investigation conducted as a suspect at Yeongdeungpo Police Station in Seoul.
On the 4th, the Yeongdeungpo Police Station in Seoul summoned Governor Kim, who is suspected of violating the National Assembly Testimony Appraisal Act, from 2 p.m. and conducted an investigation for about four hours until 6:20 p.m.
Governor Kim, who came out of the investigation, said, "I think the perjury accusation by Democratic Party lawmakers is a clear political repression," adding, "I will try to prove my innocence by sincerely working on the investigation in any case."
"I couldn't watch closed-circuit (CC) TV in Goesan," he said. "It means that a road corporation employee was watching in our province, but a misunderstanding that occurs was accused."
In connection with the claim that he made an emergency call at home, the police said they plan to submit additional evidence or statements.
Before leaving the police station, he said, "I don't think political retaliation should take place in relation to the various relationships between me and the governor of Gyeonggi-do Province in the past, and I hope I don't," adding, "If there is anything to be sacrificed, I hope I will be the last victim."
Governor Kim, who arrived at the police station to be investigated at 1:50 p.m., met with reporters and said, "We will confidently investigate the truth in the police investigation."
This investigation came after the National Assembly's Public Administration and Security Committee adopted the results report of the National Assembly's investigation into Osong disaster on September 25 and proposed a complaint against Governor Kim as perjury in the parliamentary investigation.
Democratic Party lawmakers took issue with Governor Kim's remarks in a report to a parliamentary investigation agency on the 10th of the same month, saying, "There was no incision in the embankment (Mihocheon), "I was watching CCTV at that moment (on the day of the disaster)," and "I called more than 10 disaster situations."
The National Assembly Testimony Appraisal Act stipulates that witnesses' false statements are subject to imprisonment for not less than 1 year and not more than 10 years.
Meanwhile, Osong Chamsa was an accident in which 14 people were killed and 16 others were injured when the nearby Miho River flooded the underground roadway of Gungpyeong 2 in Osong-eup, Heungdeok-gu, Cheongju, Chungcheongbuk-do, at 8:40 a.m. on July 15, 2023.

There were no signs of disaster in the testimony of the National Assembly, and he lied as if he had done his part,
In fact, he pretends not to be in a police investigation and insists on political oppression.
This is the level of people who are self-proclaimed conservatives in our country.
