It's been a while since I last came to bother with Hollow Knight, once again, I think it's been two years since I became obsessed with the game and the truth is that I hadn't played it in months, among so many other games I wanted to distract myself from the wait for Silksong and also, it would be stupid to get stuck waiting for Silksong without playing anything else, but as you can see from the post, I'm back. There are a lot of things I left unfinished in the game, speedrun achievements, Steel Soul, and, what concerns us today, Embrace the Void, the achievement they give you for getting ending 4 or 5, which is obtained by completing the Pantheon of Hallownest in its entirety, a kind of Boss Rush where you must face each boss in the game, one after the other until they all die, or you die.

There are pauses along the way, resting places where you can regain your life, essence, and change charms if you wish, but outside of that, you'll face off against the bosses in similar fashion to the previous 4 pantheons, with some changes. Honestly, I can't remember if I've already talked about the pantheons, so I'll give you all a general overview of what I'm supposed to be talking about. In the endgame of Hollow Knight, we will have, most likely killed almost all the bosses in the game, if you are an obsessive killed them all already, the important thing is that every time you kill a boss, it is unlocked in the God Home, a place where you can access through the GodSeeker, here you will find, initially, three doors, each with a set of bosses, once you kill each set of bosses (on the game map), these doors are unlocked respectively, being able to face said set in the God Home, each door is more difficult than the previous one, and once you complete the three, a fourth is unlocked, which in turn unlocks a last "door", belonging to the last Pantheon, the aforementioned Pantheon of Hallownest, a true challenge of patience, perseverance and skill in which I have failed more than 50 times before completing it. The last time I tried to complete the Pantheon intensively was more than a year ago, I still had my other PC, so I didn't have much more to play at that time, I finally didn't made it and started jumping from game to game as I always do, until a few days ago, when I decided to put some hours into the game trying, the muscle memory doesn't get lost so I took the trick quickly, but my problems remained the same. There are some bosses that always seemed difficult to me, some are not even hard, they were just for me, like Marmuu, it's just a ball that bounces and you have to hit it, but you have no idea of the desperation it caused me, another, and that is STANDARD, is Markoth, normally there would be no difficulties with this dude, the problem of his fight is that your ground is limited to two walls and five platforms, you can fall into the void and lose life in addition to having to keep dodging the projectiles of the unfortunate while, in turn, you hit him avoiding that he touches his shield, which also does damage. I've come here more than once and died stupidly because, once again, this boss takes me out of my boxes, I dare say, that if "hate" is a strong word, I hate him squared. But some may think, "if they are all the bosses of the game, in theory you would already have everything dominated from the previous pantheons", well said, and this is where the problem comes in. Fights like Markoth's are modified, they change things so that you face his most difficult version (which was not in the other pantheons), and it's something you need to practice again, even so, they're just a couple of fights, the real problem comes at the end. You eliminated each boss, persevered and overcame Grimm, the Pure Vessel, THE MISERABLE ZOTE, and you reach the end of everything you knew, the sky opens and that's when it appears... And you die, that's it. Unless you're very skilled or just mad, the first time you get to AbsRad you're going to die, either from your nerves or from not knowing their movement pattern, the good thing is that once you get there, you unlock their fight in the room where you can practice each boss individually, and here's where the journey to dominate the game's final boss begins. Actually, my biggest mistake is that I'm very impatient, I just started fighting more slowly and it became quite, VERY bearable, I stopped dying so much and finally I was able to defeat Radiance in practice, now the real challenge was left, to take his life in the Pantheon of Hallownest. Ha pasado un tiempo desde la última vez que vine a molestar con Hollow Knight, una vez más, creo que ya llevo dos años desde que me obsesioné con el juego y la verdad es que tenía meses sin jugarlo, entre tantos otros juegos quería distraerme de la espera de Silksong y además, sería tonto atascarme en esperar Silksong sin jugar a nada más, pero como pueden ver por el post, he vuelto. Hay un montón de cosas que dejé sin hacer en el juego, logros de speedrun, Alma de Acero y, el que hoy nos importa, Embrace the Void, el logro que te dan al sacar el final 4 o 5, que se obtiene completando en su totalidad el Panteón de Hallownest, una especie de Boss Rush donde debes enfrentar a cada jefe del juego, uno tras otro hasta que mueran todos, o mueras tú.

Hay pausas en el camino, lugares de descanso donde puedes recuperar tu vida, esencia y cambiar amuletos si lo deseas, pero fuera de eso, te enfrentarás contra los jefes en tandas similares a las de los anteriores 4 panteones, con algunos cambios. En el endgame de Hollow Knight habremos, muy probablemente matado a casi todos los jefes del juego, si eres un obseso los mataste a todos, lo importante de esto es que cada vez que matas un jefe, este se desbloquea en el Hogar de Dioses, un lugar onírico al cual puedes acceder a través de la Buscadora de Dioses, acá encontrarás, inicialmente, tres puertas, cada una con un set de jefes, una vez matas a cada set de jefes (en el mapa del juego), estas puertas se desbloquean respectivamente, pudiendo enfrentarte a dicho set en el Hogar de Dioses, cada puertas es más difícil que la anterior, y una vez completas las tres, se desbloquea una cuarta, la cual a su vez desbloquea una última “puerta”, perteneciente al último Panteón, el susodicho Panteón de Hallownest, un verdadero reto de paciencia, perseverancia y habilidad en el que habré fallado más de 50 veces antes de completarlo. La última vez que intenté intensamente completar el Panteón fue hace más de un año, aún tenía mi otra PC, por lo que no tenía mucho más que jugar en ese momento, finalmente no lo logré y empecé a saltar de juego en juego como hago siempre, hasta hace unos días, que me decidí a meterle algunas horas al juego intentando, la memoria muscular no se pierde así que le fui tomando el truco rápido, pero se mantenían mis problemas de siempre. Hay algunos jefes que siempre se me hicieron difíciles, algunos ni siquiera lo son, simplemente lo eran para mi, como Marmuu, simplemente es una bola que va rebotando y debes golpearle, pero no tienen idea de la desesperación que me causaba, otro, y ese es ESTÁNDAR, es Markoth, normalmente no habría dificultades con este tipo, el problema de su pelea está en que tu terreno se limita a dos paredes y cinco plataformas, puedes caer al vacío y perder vida además de que debes mantenerte esquivando los proyectiles del desgraciado mientras, a su vez, lo golpeas evitando que te toque su escudo, que también hace daño. Más de una vez llegué aquí y morí tontamente porque, nuevamente, me saca de mis casillas este jefe, me atrevo a decir, que si “odio” es una palabra fuerte, yo lo odio al cuadrado. Pero algunos podrán pensar, “si son todos los jefes del juego, en teoría ya tendrías todo dominado de los anteriores panteones”, bien dicho, y aquí es donde entra el problema. Peleas como las de Markoth están modificadas, cambian cosas para que te enfrentes a su versión más difícil (que no estaba en los otros panteones), y es algo que necesitas practicar nuevamente, aún así, solo son un par de peleas, el verdadero problema, viene al final. Y mueres, ya está. A menos que tengas mucha habilidad o seas un enfermo, la primera vez que llegas con AbsRad vas a morir, o por tus nervios, o por no conocer su patrón de movimientos, lo bueno es que una vez llegas, desbloqueas su pelea en la sala donde puedes practicar cada jefe individualmente, y aquí empieza el viaje para dominar al último jefe del juego. Realmente mi mayor error es que soy muy impaciente, apenas empecé a pelear de forma más pausada se hizo bastante, BASTANTE más llevadero, dejé de morir tanto y finalmente, logré derrotar a Radiance en la práctica, ahora faltaba el desafío de verdad, tomar su vida en el Panteón de Hallownest. Me voy a ahorrar la elaboración épica y diré que luego de algunos intentos, le calculo… ¿10 o 15? logré llegar a AbsRad (las anteriores había caído antes en algún jefe de los que se me dificulta más), y ese mismo intento en el que llegué fue cuando finalmente me levanté victoriosa sobre el cadáver de esa polilla de mierda, finalmente, luego de insistir e insistir, lo había logrado. No hablaré del final ni nada de la trama por si desean conocerlo por ustedes mismos, pero quedé inmensamente satisfecha, ahora probablemente vuelva a jugar un poco más para obtener más logros y seguir platinando el juego poco a poco, de verdad que merece la pena.
