I grew up to understand the importance of having enough dishware in the kitchen. My late mom explained to me that it is good for a woman to own enough in case she hosts a party or needs to rent it out, or perhaps help to support when there is any event in which they are involved in it. This idea is good and reasonable for every lady whether single or married. My late Grandma also had a lot of dishware which shocked me when I saw them. Nothing was lacking as she would be available to give out anything they came to borrow from her and she was always careful with them. She knows what she gave out, so, nothing was lost as she made sure people returned them.

So also, my aunt. Everything in her kitchen is complete. It was during my stay with her that I decided to start getting my kitchenware little by little so that by the time I am married, I would have enough to rent out, use when I host a party and the like.

I entered some kitchens where they had enough dishware but couldn't maintain the space as everywhere was choking without a space for breathing. Some kitchens are very small that these items couldn't occupy while I have seen some where things are neatly organized and kept with much available space for other things whether a big or small kitchen.

Since I would have enough dishware for large gatherings, my home would need to be spacious enough to accommodate those things. It is a woman's pride to own enough of this kitchenware so that she doesn't run out of any whenever she needs one. There are times when items she needs would not be available but when she has enough in the home, it would be safe for her.

Being a minimalist doesn't mean one shouldn't have enough of these items, especially as a woman, though it depends on one's decision. For me, it is what I want and they would be neatly packed in an organized way without them disturbing other items in the home or becoming useless without using. My aunt had to give me many of her kitchenware when I was going to school. If she doesn't have them, there was no way I would have them too. My Grandma also dashed some out as gifts to people which they appreciated well.

I want to have enough of these items too in case I host events and do not need to start running around looking for where to get them. Then, when my female children are grown up, they would have some as gifts to start their homes too. In this way, those items would keep reminding them of how they came about and how those things are important to have as a lady just as the way I am realising it now.

In conclusion, the question posed at us is on a personal level and the perspective of an individual. There are a few factors that could impact the decision of an individual to own a small or enough kitchenware. The amount of storage space should be considered — if one has a small kitchen, then going for a few dishware would be okay so as not to eat up space for other things. Another factor is the time/frequency of hosting large gatherings. If you are the type that hosts parties often, then, having enough dishware is a good idea but if it's something that comes up once a year, it might not be necessary to have enough dishware.
