Hello PeakD community,

On our trip to London we went to see the worlds famous wax museum of Madam Tussauds. It is located in the Marylebone Road next to the Baker Street Tube Station. I made ticket reservations for the second day in London at 12h15.The ticket price was 33,50£. We took the tube line from Paddington to Baker Street. When we got out of the station and had a first look at the museum, we could see a lot of people waiting in line to get in. I was afraid that we had to wait for at least an hour to get in. But they were very good organized and at the end it took us ten minutes to go in.

On our tour through the museum we discovered different areas with different categories of people such as celebrities & stars, royals, athlets, Marvel Heroes and Star Wars characters. In one area of the museum, they had black taxis taking us to a ride through the capital's history which was really nice to see. But I wasn't allowed to take picture on the taxi ride. They also had a chamber of horrors but we didn't went through that.

Let me take you on a little tour through the museum and show you a few of my impressions.

Bei unserem Trip nach London waren wir im weltberühmten Wax Museum von Madame Tussauds. Das Museum liegt in der Marylebone Road neben der Baker Street U-Bahn Station. Ich habe uns Tickets für den zweiten Tag um 12h15 gebucht. Der Preis pro Ticket lag bei 33,50£. Wir sind mit der U-Bahn von der Paddington Station zur Baker Street gefahren. Als wir die U-Bahn Station verlassen hatten, sahen wir schon sehr viele Leute vor dem Eingang warten. Ich stellt mich schon auf eine sehr lange Wartezeit ein. Dies war aber glücklicherweise nicht der Fall. Durch eine gute Organisation mussten wir lediglich 10 Minuten anstehen bevor wir hineingehen konnten.

Bei unserer Tour durch das Museum kamen wir durch sehr unterschiedliche Bereiche wie beispielsweise Prominente & Stars, Royals, Athleten, Marvel Helden und Star Wars Charakter. In einem weiteren Bereich wurden wir mit Taxis durch die Geschichte der Hauptstadt geführt. Das war sehr schön gemacht, jedoch war das fotografieren in diesem Bereich nicht gestattet. Des Weiteren gab es eine Kammer des Schreckens, durch die wir aber nicht gegangen waren.

Taking a picture of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson was impossible. There were too many people standing there and at some point I didn't want to wait any longer.

Conclusion

Madame Tussauds wax museum in London was a very nice experience and i recommend everyone to check it out. I just have one thing that was, at least on my opinion, not so good. They let too many people in at the same time. I mean, i can understand that they want to earn money to cover the costs behind everything, but in some areas it was too crowded and you loose the desire to stay there and enjoy the museum. That was a the only negative thing i could say about the museum. But for the rest, there is a lot to discover and we liked it very much. If you want to see everything and take your time in the different areas, it takes about two hours to go through the whole museum.

Das Wax Museum von Madame Tussauds in London war eine tolle Erfahrung. Ich rate jedem zu einem Besuch wenn er in London ist. Es gibt nur eines was ich bemängeln könnte. Meiner Meinung nach lassen sie viel zu viele Leute auf einmal hinein. Ich kann verstehen, dass sie Geld verdienen müssen um die laufenden Kosten zu decken, aber an manchen Stellen im Museum war es so überfüllt, dass man die Lust am weiter gehen verliert. Aber das ist das einzig Negative was ich sagen kann. Ansonsten war alles super. Wenn man sich alles in Ruhe anschauen möchte, dann braucht man ungefähr zwei Stunden für die gesamte Tour durch das Museum.
