Some time ago, my mother was going through some old papers. She usually does this to find another old paper that's also important. So you can imagine that searching for a single piece of paper can turn into hours of memories. It's inevitable to feel lucky for so many memories. Well, in addition to finding her important piece of paper, my mother found a piece of paper she had written many years ago, I think when she began her relationship with my father. On the piece of paper, she wrote her dreams for this life. She wrote things like having a job where she could be of use to others, a job she would be very proud of. She also wished for a very nice house, and a big family. I think there were other things, but these are the ones I remember. After she called me to read that piece of paper, she told me she had achieved all her goals. Hearing that from someone you love so much felt incredible. It made me so proud, and the fact that I was part of that vision she had so many years ago made me feel even more loved. Before, I couldn't help but think that she deserved more from me, from us, her family. I still hold that thought and reaffirm it when I remember that moment with her. But it gives me pause to know that she achieved those cherished goals in her life. ---

Hace algún tiempo atrás, mi madre estaba revisando algunos papeles viejos, normalmente lo hace para buscar otro papel viejo que también es importante. Así que podrán imaginar que buscar un mero papel, puede convertirse en horas de recuerdos. Es inevitable sentirse afortunado por tantos recuerdos. Pues bien, mi madre además de encontrar su papel de importancia, encontró una hoja que había escrito hace muchos años, creo que cuando comenzó su relación con mi padre. En la hoja, ella escribió sus sueños para esta vida. Escribió cosas como tener un trabajo donde pueda ser de utilidad para otros, un trabajo con el que se sienta muy orgulloso de realizar, también deseó tener una casa muy bonita, deseó tener una gran familia. Creo que había otras cosas, pero estas son las que recuerdo. Después de que me llamó para leerme ese papel, me dijo que había cumplido todas sus metas. Escuchar eso de alguien que quieres tanto, se sintió increíble. Me dio mucho orgullo y que yo formara parte de esa visión que ella tuvo hace tantos años, me hizo sentir más querido. Antes, me era inevitable pensar en que ella merecía más de mí, de nosotros su familia, aún mantengo ese pensamiento y lo reafirmo cuando recuerdo ese momento con ella.
