Not only in web3 game sector but in general I am not even a gaming person. I am nowhere near any sort of game but somehow I have been playing Splinterlands for so many years. I suppose there are others like me as well who might have found purpose by playing this game. Moreover the community is probably one of the reason to be out in here and enjoy all along. Splinterlands has been doing the same thing over and over. Which resulted the game be on a stagnent position. But lately for the last couple of months the game literally has been thriving/ in almost every aspect. The game has been able to go out and come with different ideas which the team never really thought in the past. Moreover, the execution of these new ideas has been mind boggling. It resulted in users getting in and the increase of users has been outstanding. I suppose trying out new things is indeed a wise way to grow. Splinterlands has sure has been through a lot but the way it is marching forward it sure will reach to the position where it was suppose to be a long time ago.

A free to play mode where anyone can play the game and enjoy it. This has been probably one of the most intriguing and exciting part of the launch of something which probably had debate from all across the players, team members and what not. Because there are multiple facts which needed to be taken care of and lots of uncertainties in order to make this mode come into fruiting. Although, after all the hassle which the team went through, this has been a successful one. As you may notice, official discord message was out where the statistics of the new game mode was shared with the community. The results might not be that much fascinating as of now but when people of web3, especially the ones who are into gaming will get to know about this platform they will sure jump in and try out the game. This will be one of the reason for Splinterlands to get new players and hopefully they will jump in and get to play the game long term. Thus the eco system will see a nice cashflow and there will more and more room for improvement. This step should have taken a long time back. But like they say, better late than never!
