Hello friends of this Great Community; Sometimes life puts you in circumstances where it seems like everything is falling apart: you move house, your routine no longer works, and your relationships seem unstable. You begin to feel a weight due to that perception of loss of control.

But it needs to happen in order to grow, and this growth does not happen automatically, we have to be intentional, many people go from one problem to another without learning anything, which is why it is essential to face these experiences with the willingness to turn them into learning, into opportunities.

And I share this with you from my personal experience as well. I have always considered myself a structured person, with something as simple as my own routine, my routines are sometimes rigid, from things as simple as the times I eat, the temperature of my shower to how important it is for me to get my 8 hours of sleep.

Recently I had to go somewhere else to work, although I love what I do, I admit that at first I felt resistance, being in a different environment, outside of my daily routine, that all made me, well, cling to the stability that I feel from my day to day life, I remember the last night I sat in the hotel and thought Wow “this is what I always asked for”, but it feels so empty, it feels so strange, I was there alone, I had to remind myself of something that we forget sometimes, which is that growth is not comfortable It is challenging and often feels like a constant internal struggle.

And that resistance, that initial discomfort, is what happens every time we break with what we know, but guess what, that discomfort is the price of growth, it doesn't matter if it's a job change, a new relationship, an unknown place, every time you face something new you grow, the key is not to avoid it.

We must embrace those situations, even if they are difficult, because it is there in the moments when we feel that everything is out of our control that we learn the most about ourselves, so I want to invite you to reflect on your own life. This is where changing our “lenses” plays a very important role, the way we are experiencing situations, it will be that what we are really thinking is how we believe, is there another way to interpret this moment that I am living, think about it, maybe the process we are going through is very difficult, even something that we wish we did not have to face, but in the end we will be acquiring new skills, even during that difficult process we are learning, maybe we are learning to be more resilient, to be more flexible, more understanding, patient, tolerant perhaps we are developing more creativity to solve problems.

I don't know what is happening in your life, but ask yourself this question, what skills can I develop with this situation, this pain that I am going through, if I allow myself to see it from another perspective, if I allow myself to grow in the midst of this pain I can find a purpose, in the case of a baby they have no choice, they will grow whether they want it or not, if they are healthy, they will develop, their teeth will come out, they will walk, they will talk. All of this happens naturally, but in our case it is not so natural. It is possible that we grow physically, that we have birthdays, but that we don't. We mature or develop new skills.

But that can only happen if we don't allow it, if we close ourselves too much in our little world, if we say too many “no” to new situations, if we stop facing new fears, if we refuse to leave our comfort zone, with this conversation I want to encourage you to open up to life to look at your current pains from a different perspective, ask yourself what kind of new skill, what kind of growth can this pain bring me...
