Greetings my friends, I hope you're all doing well and had a wonderful weekend. Today I want to share my entry for the weekly contest hosted by the @qurator team,

. This week's featured ingredient is fruit, and I loved this idea! We can do so many things with fruit, and they're packed with vitamins that are so good for our bodies. For my entry, I wanted to prepare something a little healthier, but just as delicious: an exquisite fruit gelatin. This gelatin is a flavor explosion! All the flavor of the fruits you choose, combined with the gelatin, is ideal—a perfect and delicious snack. Let's begin with the step-by-step instructions.

Exquisite Fruit Gelatin.

Ingredients:

  • 35 g of unflavored gelatin.

  • 650 ml of water.

  • 1/2 cup plus 1 tablespoon of sugar, or any other sweetener of your choice.

  • Fruits of your choice; I used strawberries, peaches, and mandarin oranges.

  • The juice of half a lemon, yellow food coloring, and orange extract.

  • This recipe is for a 20 cm diameter mold.

Preparation:

1- First, wash the fruit thoroughly and cut it.

2- Next, take 1 cup of room temperature water from the 650 ml of water and add the unflavored gelatin to hydrate it.

3- While the gelatin is hydrating, bring the remaining water to a boil. Once boiling, add the hydrated gelatin along with the sugar and mix very well to avoid lumps. Add the lemon juice and flavoring, and continue mixing. Food coloring is optional. Before assembling the gelatin, we need to cool the mixture slightly. To do this, we can place the mold containing the gelatin inside a larger mold filled with ice water. Continue mixing and checking that the temperature drops a little; this step should be done quickly.

4- Once the gelatin mixture is at room temperature, we begin to assemble our gelatin. In a gelatin container, previously greased (you can use a little oil), we add a first layer of gelatin, then fruit, then more gelatin, and more fruit, and so on, finishing with a layer of gelatin.

5- Once our gelatin is prepared, we place it in the freezer for approximately 40 minutes, making sure it doesn't freeze solid. Then we remove it and put it in the refrigerator for another hour. After that time, we carefully unmold it and enjoy this wonderful fruit gelatin.

Now I'll say goodbye, my friends. I hope you enjoyed this simple and delicious recipe. I assure you that everyone at home will love it, especially the little ones. It's a healthier and more nutritious snack option. See you next time, blessings.
