Splinterlands Free To Use Land Dividers
9 comments
Hello there! @saydie here, playing Splinterlands everyday!
A few months ago, I wrote a post compiling a list of Conclave Arcana assets that I modified using Photoshop, such as wallpapers and dividers, which can be used by anyone writing Splinterlands content on Hive to improve their blog. Since then, I continue to add updates that post almost on a weekly basis whenever I come up with new images. Well, it wasn't as if I was doing it for nothing. Most of the time, I use them in my Splinterlands blog, so what I'm really doing is just using that one post as an image storage, so that I do not need to worry even if my desktop files get corrupted or I accidentally delete the images. At the same time, I'm just glad that people are using the things that I made.
At some point, I was also planning to make land dividers and other assets since I am also planning to dive in the land gameplay, which is why I've got the land footer within the Conclave Arcana assets that I modified, but just doesn't have the drive to do it until a few days ago, when I got a request to make some land dividers. And now, here I am sharing for everyone these land dividers that I think turn out decently, so that anyone who will make a land post this week can start to use them. I also share some of the process on how I made them.
Divider 1:
Making the first divider is quite simple. First, I upload the land image icon and place it in the center, followed by the resources that can be acquired in it, then line them together.
After that, I make 3 more copies of those and line them as well with the land icon at the center to have the first divider.
Divider 2:
Although it also looks simple, the next divider takes the most work to make. First, I start by removing the background and dividing the different territories in Praetoria.
Then, in a separate tab, I put a rounded rectangle shape with only the black borders, which will serve as the container for the divider.
Following that, I placed each of the territories one by one to fill the rectangle.
After arranging the territories properly, I then proceed with removing the parts that are outside the rectangle.
Finally, I wrote Praetoria in the middle and added some blend modes to the text to make it semi-transparent but also still readable.
Divider 3:
For the last divider, I added some moving animations and made different varieties since the process is the same for each one. First, I uploaded the grains icon in Photoshop and made multiple copies of it to form a line. After half of the area was occupied, I made copies of those for the other side but facing in the reverse direction.
In a separate tab, I got the Vruz loading Gif file which I will add in the middle of the grains but first, I will need to remove the dark background.
After that, I placed the image in the middle of the grain, but even if I copy the image, I can't copy the animation, so I need to redo the animation time for each image before saving it again as a Gif file. I did the same process when adding the grain for the research and the wood. For the stone, iron, and aura divider, same process with the grain then I just replaced Vruz with the land loading animation, but just rotating in reverse.
Closing
One of the challenges that I have while making the dividers was the lack of land image sources that I can modify, which is given since it is more of an idle game compared to the main gameplay. But still, I think that the dividers turn out decently. If I come up with other stuff in the future, I may also just include it in this post so that it will be easy for everyone to use it.
That was all for this post. Thank you and see you at the next one!
